Google Chrome End-to-End
I have been following the Google announcement of End-to-End (a new Chrome Extension) with interest. It was originally shown to the public as Alpha in June 2014, and then in early December 2014 they announced that the project is moving to GitHub allowing the open source community to get involved with the project.
For anyone who hasn’t been following Google End-to-End, it is a Chrome Extension that brings the security of PGP encryption on top of GMail, while being extremely simple to use.
Following the rather worrying announcements by David Cameron and the so-called “Snoopers Charter” in the UK, this is all the more important. Although, who knows what will happen if he gets his way and manages to outlaw strong encryption. A worrying future.
